We can’t overemphasise how much we love the artwork of this slot, with our only disappointment being that we don’t see enough of the cool pinup characters while playing the game.
Once you’re playing, the backdrop of the reels is an airport fuelling area, with a couple of plans just in view and plenty of Tarmac. Why they missed the opportunity to add characters at either side of the slot design is beyond us, although they do sometimes feature on the reels themselves.
Generally, the attention to the details of the theme is good, we particularly like the retro radio which appears when you open the ‘Pays’ information. The general background sounds are aeronautical, with the sounds of engines and sometimes pilots speaking on the radio. When spinning, you get a somewhat misplaced 1940s style stage sound but it’s at least in keeping with the era.
There are some nice little effects to look out for, like the spinning propellor of the free spins plane symbol and the passing shadows of overhead planes, but otherwise with the lack of bonus games here there’s little more excitement to be had in terms of graphics and theme.
This is a 5 reel, 20 payline game offering a maximum payout of 1,000 coins, which we’re pleased to say is higher than some of Cayetano’s other offerings such as Little Red Riding Hood, which give a measly 500 coins. The value of Lucky Ladies could potentially be $/£/€200,000 and coin values range from 0.20 to a 1,000.00 maximum bet.
There are ten regular symbols here and a Random Wild which rotates between the three different female pinup characters. The Wilds are only activated when a box is parachuted in and hits the reels, transforming it into a stacked wild. You’ll need to line up 5 Wilds in order to win the maximum payout.
The Free Spins wild features a small red plane with spinning propellor and when 3 of these appear anywhere on the reels, you can choose one to receive a multiplier, which progressively increases as you continue to play. As with some other Cayetano games we don’t have any further features to mention but you can view the full pay table below.
We’d recommend checking this game out if just to admire the retro pinup-style graphics which we were very impressed with. Unfortunately, for a video slot there’s not much in the way of added interest here; no bonus games and a limited amount of animation.
This game is somewhat style over substance although the 1,000 coin jackpot is more appealing than many other games in its league, giving you the chance to win up to $/£/€200,000 if you play for high stakes. We would have liked to see better use of the high quality artwork here and ideally some more interesting features but if you like good artwork and a simple game format then you may enjoy this slot.
