Dirty Dancing has 40 lines, a figure which is on the high side for Playtech. While the number of paylines remains fixed, the bet level can be set from 0.01 all the way up to 10. This means that on the maximum setting, each spin of the reels will cost €400.

The controls for adjusting the bet level, incidentally, are hidden away to the left of the reels. Click on the arrow and they’ll slide out, along with a turbo button which, when disabled, will turn off some of the sounds and animations.

The spin button can be found to the right of the reels. Hold it down and autospin controls will appear; drag the slider to set the number of spins from 0 all the way up to 100.

Alternatively, you can have the autospins continue until you hit the feature. The remaining controls you might require, for audio and disabling the intro screens, are situated to the top right of the screen.

Johnny is the game’s wild symbol. He’ll substitute for any of the other symbols except for scatter to create winning combinations. Any time you land 2 or more wilds on a payline, you’ll receive an additional payout. Scatter, meanwhile, is claimed by the Dirty Dancing logo.

With 3 or more scatters anywhere in view, the payout you receive will be multiplied by your total bet value.

Dirty Dancing has a couple of neat features that naturally tie in with the movie, starting with Mambo Free Games, which can be triggered in normal play; tap the play button once activated to enter this feature.

Here, you’ll be presented with a wheel bonus, with an arrow pointing to various prizes. Spin the wheel and you can win free games, a 2x multiplier or a dancing wild feature.

When you activate dancing wilds, a feat which can only be achieved via Mambo Free Games, a wild symbol will appear on the reels occupying all 4 positions. The reels will then spin and any wins on any of the reels will be boosted by the presence of the dancing wild. The dancing wild will change its position randomly with every spin.

Dirty Dancing also has another form of wilds: Whirling Wilds. This feature is triggered randomly in normal play, whereupon Johnny and Baby will start dancing together. At this stage, anywhere from 2-6 wilds will be distributed as the reels.
