What’s better than one slot machine based card game? That’s right, two of them! This must be the reason why iSoftBet thought it necessary to create Spin Poker, essentially the same game as Spin Deuces, only this time the winning amounts are a little less, and the name is different.
Those against repetition need not bother playing, as for all intents and purposes it’s an identical game - there’s chances to hold your cards, play for royal flushes and three of a kind, as well as bag a maximum payout of €3,000. Even the tiles upon the 3x5 grid look virtually the same, as are the colours used and the sound effects employed.
So, has Spin Poker got any merit past looking and sounding like another? Well our job is to find out whether that’s the case, or whether the brand just opted for the easiest route to more money in the company bank account.

If you’re to play a proper round of cards, you need to know the rules, and you need to be able to play it cool, even when the odds are stacked against you. In Spin Poker there’s a need to get between one and five of the same card grouping, with the list covering all manner of poker moves and results. As you’d expect, the ultimate prize is to get five of the Royal Flush and bag yourself the big jackpot.
To do this, all players have do is spin the reels and hope to create a winning line. The symbols may have been replaced by card suits, but that doesn’t mean the aim of the game has changed; you match as many of the same tile as possible to get a win. The only way you won’t succeed is if they land on an inactive payline or the symbols don’t add up.
The lowest payout possible is 1 credit, for Jacks or Better, though these lowly cards can soon turn a profit if you find five of them, then you get a win worth 5 credits. Still not much, but there’s a marked difference in outcome that pleases us no end.
In the middle of the paytable you have the Flush and Full House, both of which won’t land you above 40 coins a piece, but are still worth finding if luck will allow it. The maximum payout from a Flush is €25, while the top pay for Full House is 10 more at €35.
This is a game for big boys and girls, so if you’ve not got money to play you need to go elsewhere; only those serious about gambling play here. Just look at how iSoftBet has combined two popular casino games – that should tell you everything you need to know.
To begin with you’ll want to work out what amount your coins are worth: you can select between 0.02 and 2 credits, with either amount easy to find thanks to the handy plus and minus buttons. After you’ve sorted how much they’re worth, you can go about deciding how many of the coins you wish to play with, with your choice being between 1 and 5. As you’d expect, the higher the number of coins played, the more pricey your stake will be.
Should you wish to control the outcome of the reels (or attempt to) further, you have the ability to reduce the winlines down to a lone line, thus making the game much harder to beat. You can do this via the button provided or by choosing any of the numbers from around the 5 reels themselves; it couldn’t be any simpler.
The short and sweet answer is no. Sorry, but Spin Poker is a slot machine that was neither needed or wanted, from what we can gather. Spin Deuces was (and still is) more than adequate enough to fill whatever hole was in the market.
We’d suggest not bothering with this slot machine, but obviously we can’t stop you from exploring your curious nature… Just remember that curiosity killed the cat.
