Pure and Simple

While the boards where the dice appear are positioned in the lower part of the table, the uppermost half of the screen is where all your information is displayed, with the Pure logo rendered in silver and occasionally glinting invitingly. The sky blue colour scheme is cheerful, and in contrast with the sort of colours used in most casino games.

As a consequence, despite being technically just another dice game, Pure looks and feels quite different from the competition. In the top right of the screen, you can see the value of the various dice that can be rolled. 1, 2 or 3 are worth 20 points apiece and then 4 and 5 are worth 40 each.

Six Appeal

Roll a 6 and you’ll receive 60 points, the same amount as you’ll receive for either the black or blue Chinese-style symbols. The green Chinese symbol stands alone at being worth 120 coins, which just leaves the red wheel to roll which is the bonus symbol. We’ll get to the wintable in a moment, but first let’s cover the bet levels. These can be set as low as 0.25 and as high as 50 coins. To the bottom left of the screen there’s a hamburger menu which, when clicked, will reveal controls for the audio as well as linking to an icon which dispenses playing hints.

Dice Are Nice

There’s a full playing guide provided for Pure, which describes itself as being “a dice game distilled to its purest form”. After placing your bet and hitting start, you’ll be presented with three dice and a blinking box will suggest which of the columns you place them into. There are four possible boxes you can drop them into with the intention of trying to score the highest possible amount on one of the boards. The dice can be placed in a horizontal or diagonal line, scoring you points. The regular dice are worth a reasonable amount in the case of the higher numbers, but the ‘rare dice’ as they’re described are worth much more.

To win while playing Pure you need to score a minimum of 100 points. That’s why it makes sense to place your high value dice triples into the same box rather than spreading them out across all four boards and risk failing to pass the 100-point threshold. As for the bonus wheel dice, you’ll require three of these on a winline in order to trigger the bonus wheel. The wheel starts off with 5 spins and 100 points, but you have the chance to win substantially more here. You could be awarded 3 extra spins, additional points, a go at spinning for the jackpot or a chance to get onto one of the mystery wheels. When you’ve ran out of spins or completed the maximum permitted 20 spins the bonus round will end and you’ll be returned to the main game.

Pure, Final Thoughts

Pure is a top game that looks extremely simple but which proves to have a surprising amount of depth to it. Dice games are rarely complex, and it certainly won’t take you long to get the hang of Pure. It’s a game which lets you play for free while you get a feel for how it all works. When you’re ready to play for real money you’ll be rewarded with the prospect of landing some huge wins with the aid of the three progressive jackpots. If you can handle the excitement, step on up and give Pure a go. These dice play nice.
