Two gunmen held up the FanDuel Sportbook at Valley Forge Casino in the Pennsylvania city of King of Prussia, but it may not have been worth it after they made it away with just a box of tips.

When their efforts failed, the men grabbed a tip box containing just $120

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, two armed men wearing ski masks and hoodies walked up to FanDuel tellers and demanded money just before 11pm on Tuesday. When their efforts failed, the men grabbed a tip box containing just $120. Surveillance footage shows the gunmen fleeing the scene along with two other suspects in their getaway vehicle, a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Bettor Jay Gerbert witnessed the incident at the FanDuel venue. He said: “I couldn’t believe it because I’ve never seen that happen in a casino.” Hannah Pennington said while no one can predict what happens in a casino: “I know these places are heavily protected, so it’s crazy to me it can happen there.”

Stevie Barnes was less charitable towards casino security, stating: “It just shows that people are not really on their jobs, and not really being attentive to what they’re supposed to be doing.”

The casino’s owners Boyd Gaming, however, responded to a request for information from 6abc Action News. A spokesperson for the Paradise, Nevada, casino operator said the while the matter was under police investigation “we must defer to law enforcement for any comment or additional information.”
