Big news
Last week, streamer and celebrity tie-ups with slot suppliers seemed to dominate the VegasSlotsOnline News headlines.
TaDa Gaming announced that it intends to create a range of custom slots for players with the help of gambling streamers. This already began with Brazilian streamer Yuri Brida, who in December launched his own Fortune Yuri 500 TaDa Gaming slot.
players try to score past a 3D version of the goalkeeping legend
Meanwhile, BGaming confirmed that it had teamed up with Brazilian soccer icon Julio César to release a new FIFA World Cup-themed game called Penalty Duel. The title, which is more a casual game than traditional slot, would see players try to score past a 3D version of the goalkeeping legend.
These stories happen to both be Brazilian, but this isn’t a territory-specific or even a new phenomena in the world of gaming. American rapper Snoop Dogg released his own slot with BGaming in 2024, while other celebs have also put their name to slots in the past, including rock bands Guns N’Roses and KISS.
So, are these celeb-themed slots actually any good? VegasSlotsOnline News has taken a look through some of them to assess.
Snoop Dogg Dollars
Snoop Dogg Dollars is probably the clearest example of a celebrity actually getting involved in the slot design process. Whether it is actually true or not, BGaming and Snoop Dogg both claim that the rap superstar was heavily involved in the development of the slot, which launched in June of 2024.
It makes sense considering Snoop Dogg’s relationship with gambling. He has a partnership with Roobet and has appeared on various streams, gambling with some famous faces. In September 2024 for instance, Snoop teamed up with Xposed for a stream in Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, where they played blackjack for hours.

Snoop Dogg Dollars features a 6×8 grid packed with features. Snoop helps you score wins via cascades on every win, increasing multipliers, free spins, and wild symbols. Its highly volatile and has a return to player (RTP) of 97. The max win stands at 10,000x your bet. It also features a hip hop soundtrack that will keep Snoop fans entertained.
Snoop Dogg Dollars has a low rating of 2.9 stars out of 5
Perhaps Snoop’s involvement in slot design wasn’t the best idea though, given the reviews for the game. Snoop Dogg Dollars has a low rating of 2.9 stars out of 5 on VegasSlotsOnline.
Fortune Yuri 500
Next up, it’s Fortune Yuri 500, a TaDa Gaming slot released in collaboration with famous Brazilian streamer Yuri Brida. Yuri, who now has more than 1 million followers on YouTube, made a name for himself playing Free Fire, a free-to-play battle royale game. He eventually began playing competitively for influencer team INTZ before joining an esports organization.
TaDa Gaming Director of Product Development Sean Liu said that Yuri seemed an obvious partner as the supplier hoped to expand its reach in Brazil. “Yuri’s authentic entertainment and community presentation style told us his streams would deliver the sticky element we were looking for with our slots.”

Fortune Yuri 500 is the game that came from that partnership. Launched in December last year, it is a low volatility game with an RTP of 97.1. Its shaped around Yuri, with images of the streamer greeting you as you load the game and appearing on the reels. It uses a 5×4 format for the grid.
That game has performed a little better than Snoop Dogg Dollars on VSO. It is currently sitting at a rating of 4 stars out of 5, although it is still early days for the relatively new slot.
Guns N’ Roses
One of the most famous band tie-ins in the slot world is the Guns N’ Roses slot, which was developed by NetEnt all the way back in 2016.
Unlike some more recent celebrity collabs, this game leans heavily on nostalgia and the global appeal of the legendary rock band rather than any direct involvement from the artists themselves. In fact, it doesn’t seem the band had any part in developing the slot other than allowing NetEnt to use their branding.

The slot features a 5×3 grid and features classic imagery associated with the band, including skulls and instruments. Players can also trigger bonus rounds tied to famous tracks like Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O’ Mine, each bringing different features such as free spins, expanding wilds, and multipliers.
it may not appeal to more casual players
The game has generally been well received. It currently holds a solid player rating of 4 out of 5 on VegasSlotsOnline. That said, it is also a high-volatility slot, which means it may not appeal to more casual players looking for consistent, smaller wins.
KISS Reels of Rock
Another classic example of a celebrity-themed game is the KISS Reels of Rock slot, developed by Play’n Go, which predictably takes a similarly music-driven approach.
The slot uses a 5×3 layout and features the band members in their iconic makeup as symbols on the reels. Bonus rounds are once again tied to hit songs such as Rock and Roll All Nite and Detroit Rock City, each unlocking unique features including free spins, wild reels, and interactive elements.

While the gameplay itself isn’t anything out of this world, the visual experience is where KISS Reels of Rock stands out. The combination of concert-style visuals and recognizable music helps elevate it above standard slots.
Player reception has generally been above average, with 3 stars out of 5 on VSO currently. However, some critics argue that, like many branded slots, it relies more on its theme than on groundbreaking mechanics.
Verdict
So, are celebrity-endorsed slots actually any good? Unsurprisingly, the answer is mixed.
Games like Snoop Dogg Dollars show that even with direct celebrity involvement, success isn’t guaranteed. Meanwhile, Fortune Yuri 500 demonstrates how influencer partnerships can resonate strongly with a specific audience, particularly in targeted markets.
focus on delivering an entertaining experience built around much-loved brands
It could be argued that the older music-themed slots like Guns N’ Roses and KISS strike a better balance. They don’t rely on actual celebrity involvement but focus on delivering an entertaining experience built around much-loved brands.
Ultimately, a celebrity name alone isn’t enough to make a great slot. Strong mechanics, engaging features, and high production value still matter most.
