Soccer slot
The rebranded Softswiss studio behind hit titles like Snoop Dogg Dollars is launching a new slot in partnership with former Brazil goalkeeping great Júlio César.
scheduled for release ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in June
BGaming’s Penalty Duel game stars the soccer legend as the main character, and is scheduled for release ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in June.
The iGaming studio took to X earlier this week with clips of César promoting the new slot, supposedly “drawing huge attention at the booth” at BiS SiGMA South America:
Penalty Duel gives players the kicker role against César in goal, a position the keeper made his own, winning three World Cups with Brazil. Scoring past 3D-animated César will land players multipliers.
Slots on the beach
According to a BGaming press release, the studio behind hit slots like Snoop Dogg Dollars, Aztec Magic Deluxe, and Lucky Blue, said the new slot introduced two features created to boost “gameplay and winning potential.”
The Chance feature increases players’ chances of triggering the Golden Ball, which in turn boosts their probability of scoring. A Buy Bonus option unlocks a special round of penalty kicks facing César on “a vibrant Rio beach setting.”
slot “that feels authentic, culturally relevant, and deeply connected”
BGaming CMO Kate Pateiko praised César’s legacy as an all-time Brazilian sporting great, stating that the collaboration was about integrating it “directly into the product experience.” Pateiko said the result was a slot “that feels authentic, culturally relevant, and deeply connected to football passion, especially in Brazil.”
The BGaming exec added tie-ups with the likes of César help to bolster the studio’s Latin American presence, “engage new audiences and deliver experiences that truly resonate.”
Brazilian strategy
BGaming’s thrust into the LatAm market was sounded last year by its Chief Product Officer Yulia Alekseeva who said the iGaming firm considered South America “a key growth area.”
Collaborating with A-list South American celebrities seems to be a trend for iGaming firms, judging by a slot team-up between TaDa Gaming and Brazilian streamer Yuri Brida to release Fortune Yuri 500.
Earlier this week, a TaDa executive confirmed the firm’s strategy to produce more bespoke slots for the Brazilian market by co-creating new titles with local streamers, with Fortune Yuri just the beginning.
