The Formula 1 weekend is approaching in Las Vegas. With racing scheduled to begin on the famous Las Vegas Strip in around one month, Caesars Entertainment is offering incentives to its workers to convince them to come to work.

One lucky staff member will even win a brand-new BMW

According to reports shared by Las Vegas Locally on social media, Caesars has confirmed it is giving away $100,000 in prizes to employees who work during the event. One lucky staff member will even win a brand-new BMW. “Every hour a team member works they’ll receive an entry for multiple prizes,” said Caesars President and Chief Operating Officer Sean McBurney.

The offer comes amid unrest among the Las Vegas casino workforce. They could go on strike at any point after 95% of the Culinary Workers Union approved strike action earlier this month. Undoubtedly, operators will be fearful that this strike action could coincide with the F1 Grand Prix, which is expected to bring in substantial business.

The Culinary Union is currently negotiating contracts for around 40,000 casino workers, including Caesars, MGM Resorts International, and Wynn Resorts employees. They picketed casinos for the first time in nearly two decades this month as they fight for better pay, benefits, and working conditions.
