People in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Tennessee now have full access to the Fanatics Sportsbook. The offering was previously in beta testing for about six months, which meant that only people with a link were able to register for an account. It is now accessible to everyone in these jurisdictions who meet the legal age requirement.

This launch comes a few weeks before the beginning of the NFL season, which is always a lucrative time for operators. It also gives it a head start on ESPN Bet as the expectation is that this newly branded sportsbook will go live by Thanksgiving.

Fanatics has market access in many other states thanks to its recent acquisition of PointsBet’s US operations for $225m, but there is no clear timeline for when launches will take place in these other regions.

Talking on Wednesday about the full launch, Fanatics Betting and Gaming Chief Product Officer Scot McClintic said: “We are laser focused on solving pain points facing customers by offering a faster, easier, and a more rewarding sports betting experience.”
