DraftKings sportsbook released a collaborative hip-hop single and music video called “The Game” Wednesday to celebrate the start of the NBA playoffs.

The track features The LOX (a rap group consisting of Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch), Rick Ross, and Fat Joe. The verses contain a variety of themes but contain numerous references to basketball, gamesmanship, and competition.

‘The Game’ is a track that taps into hoops culture on and off the court”

“To share our love for ‘The Game,’ DraftKings collaborated with iconic hip-hop artists Rick Ross, Fat Joe, and The Lox to release an NBA Playoffs anthem,” said DraftKings co-founder and President Matt Kalish. “‘The Game’ is a track that taps into hoops culture on and off the court, and what it means to bet on yourself.”

The video on top of the audio is mostly a montage of the best moments from the 2022-23 NBA regular season with occasional flashes of branding and sports betting terminology.

The song and video were seemingly released in an effort to grow DraftKings’ already massive audience during one of the most competitive times of the year for sports teams and sports bettors. The music video acts as a highlight reel and helps build excitement for the upcoming race for the Larry O’Brien trophy.

The video is available on DraftKings’ social media pages and YouTube channel and can be downloaded on music streaming platforms.

DraftKings has the Milwaukee Bucks as the favorites to win the title at +265, just ahead of the Boston Celtics, (+310) and Phoenix Suns (+425).
