Studio levels up

European iGaming developer Playson has rolled out a studio first in its new slot Rhino Coins: Hit the Bonus. The feature-laden new slot is built around what Playson stated were dual bonus mechanics, multiple jackpot tiers, and a mold-breaking new six-level Bonus Buy system.

Super Bonus modes “with guaranteed jackpots and additional multipliers”

According to a news release, Playson’s maiden six graded Bonus Buy options offer direct access to features that include Super Bonus modes “with guaranteed jackpots and additional multipliers.”

Playson’s Chief Product Officer Anton Ivannikov said that the new slot was another advancement in how his firm addresses feature-heavy gameplay by “combining layered bonus pathways with strong win potential.”

Bonus-rich game

The Playson game’s focal point is its two four-level Bonus Games (Coin and Rhino) which come with regular and boosted Super Bonus variants, and a Coin Bonus Game “triggered if six or more Bonus Coins” land on the reels.

A Bonus Coin combination of Jackpot, Collect, Mystery, or Mystery Jackpot Coins can also trigger the same bonus game in Rhino Coins: Hit the Bonus, according to the Playson release

During Bonus or Super Bonus Games, random jackpot symbols can lead to the Grand Jackpot win, “or the Royal Jackpot from either Super Bonus Game, standing at an impressive 15,000x.”

Ivannikov said the new slot featuring wild animal themes Playson favors in series like Lion Gems and Wolf Power Megaways offers “both variety and depth, giving players multiple ways to engage with the experience.”

Advances, pivots

While Playson was breaking its six-tier frontier, another iGaming studio also pivoting into something out of its usual comfort zone is enjoying the early fruits of that labor.

News emerged over the weekend that Pragmatic Play’s new live roulette version of its iconic Gates of Olympus slot is already making headlines, after one player took home a cool €228,635 ($269,000).
