Hollywood personality and nightlife impresario Ivan Kane is making a dramatic return to the Las Vegas entertainment scene with a reimagined version of his much-loved burlesque nightclub in the place it became a legend.

a party as dynamic as the club’s founder”

Sixteen years after Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce called time on Vegas, the all-new nightclub is set to reopen where it originally wowed the world with its reinvented take on burlesque, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Neon took to X with news of Forty Deuce 2.0’s December 31 opening, stating the New Year’s Eve event “should shape up to be a party as dynamic as the club’s founder:”

According to a press release by Mandalay Bay’s parent MGM Resorts International, the reopening is billed as an immersive “spectacular of burlesque and nightlife.” The Wednesday opening will also include multiple stages, dancers, live bands “an insane laser/light show and state-of-the-art visuals and sound.”

After playing a soldier called Tony in Oliver Stone’s epic 1986 war drama Platoon in a successful acting career that included Born on the Fourth of July, Kane turned to screenwriting in 2007 before opening his third nightclub, Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce in Los Angeles in 2002.

A Bravo reality show, however, documenting the 2004 Vegas launch of Forty Deuce “is credited with reinventing burlesque” with Kane’s slick productions splicing live bands into the nightclub scene of DJs and dance floors.

Kane stated: “Returning to Vegas felt inevitable. The production is so big, so technically complex and so sexy – a burlesque extravaganza if you will – that it screams Las Vegas.”

The nightlife tsar added he was “thrilled” to be coming back to the Vegas casino where he made his name. “With Forty Deuce 2.0, I can’t wait to roll out the red carpet and completely wow the guests,” Kane said, stating those familiar with the club and new patrons can enjoy “Forty Deuce’s brand-new tricked out venue and our unique brand of nightlife.”
