Fanatics has partnered with the Colombus Blue Jackets for a new retail sportsbook.

Fanatics sportsbook will partner with the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets to open a retail sports betting facility next to the team’s home arena.

The location is expected to open in August, just in time for visitors to bet on the new NFL and college football seasons. It represents yet another expansion into the world of sports betting for Fanatics, which will be able to take advantage of the Ohio market for the first fall since legalization.

new and exciting ways to engage with our fans”

“The Columbus Blue Jackets are constantly seeking new and exciting ways to engage with our fans,” said Cameron Scholvin, the Blue Jackets’ Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “We believe this collaboration with Fanatics Betting and Gaming on a world-class sportsbook location just outside the doors of Nationwide Arena in the heart of the Arena District does just that.”

The big reveal is only one-half of the good news for Fanatics this week.

It was previously reported that Fanatics agreed to purchase PointsBet’s North American assets for $225m because of the latter’s struggles to achieve profitability. Luckily for Fanatics, last quarter’s financial results showed PointsBet’s sports betting profits rose 10% from 2022, which led to a 19% year-on-year revenue increase.
