The DraftKings Sportsbook at Wrigley Field is inching ever closer to completion. Fans attending Chicago Cubs games will be able check out the venue for the first time on June 27; a preview of the new facility took place on Tuesday. It will initially open as a restaurant and bar until it receives the green light from the Illinois Gaming Board to start offering retail sports betting.

Construction has been going on for the past 14 months and the interior features a massive Jumbotron that wraps around the space. Wrigley Field is an official national historic landmark, so preservation specialists were a part of the design process of the new facility to make sure that it met the relevant guidelines. DraftKings first entered into an exclusive deal with the Chicago Cubs in September 2020.
