A celebrity deal

Actress Vanessa Hudgens, who became a household name playing Gabriella Montez in High School Musical (HSM), has inked a celebrity brand ambassador deal with BetMGM.

advertising campaigns and marketing promotions

In a Thursday news release, BetMGM said that the 33-year-old star will appear in upcoming advertising campaigns and marketing promotions for the betting giant’s iGaming and casino platforms. The actress, producer, singer, and entrepreneur will also play a role in providing social media content for BetMGM’s various online platforms.

BetMGM Casino took to Twitter on Thursday with an image of Hudgens promoting the brand:

Since her breakout role in HSM, Hudgens has appeared in various films including Bad Boys for Life and Spring Breakers. Hudgens’ marketing appeal includes her social media influence, with the actress boasting more than 47 million followers on Instagram.

Mass appeal

Commenting in Thursday’s press release, BetMGM’s chief revenue officer Matt Prevost highlighted Hudgens’ mass-media appeal. Prevost said his firm looked forward to working with the star toward BetMGM’s goal of “reaching new audiences in unique and engaging ways.”

Prevost deemed Hudgens “extremely gifted” and asserted that “she will be instrumental in BetMGM’s ongoing evolution as an entertainment company.”

In joining BetMGM’s brand ambassador roster, Hudgens finds herself among a growing number of film and sports stars. This includes NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett, ex-NFL running back Chris Johnson, and acclaimed actor Jamie Foxx.

The release also expressed BetMGM’s pride in its responsible play resources, most notably GameSense. GameSense allows bettors direct access to responsible gaming tools through BetMGM’s mobile and desktop platforms.

A September to remember

September has so far proven a month of headline-makers for BetMGM.

Together with the Arizona Cardinals, BetMGM went live with the first-ever sportsbook at an NFL stadium on September 11. The in-person sportsbook adds to BetMGM’s online offering in the state, which it launched in September 2021.

BetMGM will serve as the exclusive betting partner of the Chiefs

BetMGM preceded this with a multi-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on the same day Kansas’ sports betting market launched. The agreement means BetMGM will serve as the exclusive betting partner of the Chiefs and will see the operator’s logo take center stage at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Finally, earlier this week, BetMGM revealed it is the new betting sponsor of NBC Sunday Night Football, replacing PointsBet.
