Flutter Entertainment has announced that PokerStars is now live in Ontario, Canada. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario approved the brand for full service operation, with PokerStars offering sports betting, casino gaming, and poker to new registered members.

The PokerStars site is fully functional in Ontario, offering poker, casino, and sports betting platforms. Players that click on the casino tab must select their province before moving forward with gaming.
Each section offers streamlined services with plenty of gaming options. The casino includes slots, races, live casino, card & table games, plus instant win options.
Members can access traditional sports markets like MLB, Soccer, NFL, NHL, and more in the sportsbook. The poker room offers the standard cash games and tournaments for which PokerStars is known. This includes promotions and live event qualifiers.
In speaking about the launch, managing director-marketing Tom Warren stated that the brand considers Ontario its home market, as PokerStars dealt its first hand of poker in the province more than 20 years ago.

To celebrate the start of PokerStars Ontario, the online poker room will launch the new Ontario Platinum Series. Exclusive to Ontario players, the series will run from July 10-18 and offer $1m in guaranteed prize money.

PokerStars plans to offer a ton of great experiences and events this summer. A rewards program is available to players, offering double the rewards in July and August. For poker players, a new weekly flagship event known as New Sunday Majors is on the schedule. The tournament will offer $100,000 in guaranteed prize money every Sunday.
As PokerStars begins offering games in the province, it has plans to provide rewards and experiences to its players via a partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE). The company announced the new agreement with MLSE in April 2022.
PokerStars is the MLSE’s official gaming partner, with brand exposure expected during the Maple Leafs’ home games.
