New way to play popular slots

Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has released a brand new product for their online casino, HardRockCasino.com.

Developed in partnership with technology company Softweave Ltd., Hard Rock has introduced Live Slots, a live gaming option that allows players to spin the reels of their favorite land-based slot machines from the comfort of their own home.

Hailed as a first of its kind offering, this new Live Slots offering allows players to activate slot games via the internet and play machines that are housed in a private room at the Hard Rock property.

Unique experience

Hard Rock Atlantic City has partnered with Softweave Ltd. to create the new technology, unveiling the new games this week during a press conference at the property.

The Hard Rock now has a small room on the gaming floor that has twelve slot machines inside. Players at the property can see the games inside the room, but the area is off-limits. The room has cameras inside so that players can see what is happening as the machines are activated. Online players can access the games via the Hard Rock online casino app.

Just like players have to wait to play a land-based game, they must also wait their turn to access titles in the Live Slots series. The play button will be grayed out when the game is in use. Once the game is ready to play, online players are alerted and can begin spinning the reels of the game.

Natural extension of live dealer games

According to the president of Hard Rock Atlantic City, Joe Lupo, the remote-controlled slot games are a natural extension of the live dealer games that are popular in the region. Lupo pointed out that credibility and transparency are important to seeing the iGaming industry move forward.

Lupo said: “The difference between seeing a computer image as opposed to the kind of machine that a customer has been playing for years, it may be easier to understand.”

Hard Rock International senior vice president of iGaming, Kresimi Spajic, commented as well, stating that the psychology is that land-based players are fearful of online gaming.

With the new Live Slots, it will be a helpful transition to see these players become online customers. The machine is a physical element they can see while playing online, almost like they are sitting in front of it at the casino.

Accessing the games

The Live Slots work the same as online or in-person machines. A random number generator (RNG) is used during gameplay for fair gaming. New Jersey gambling regulators put the new devices through a testing phase to ensure quality and integrity.

games available include popular land-based titles that have previously not been offered online

Players who want to take part in the Live Slot gaming will need to have an account with the Hard Rock online casino. If all 12 of the machines are currently being played, a queue can be joined. Players can then play table games or other online slot games and receive an alert when it is their turn to play.

The games available include popular land-based titles that have previously not been offered online. Such titles include Buffalo, Hotter than Blaze, and Spitfire Multipliers.
