New online slot Elemento Dragons, developed by Fantasma Games, uses a unique wild/elemental mechanic to make what might otherwise be a typical cascade, cluster pays game a bit more interesting.

At the start of a spin, three Elemental Wild symbols will appear in the outer ring. If any of them connect with the symbols in the main grid to form a winning cluster (at least five symbols touching horizontally or vertically), they will trigger one of four element features – Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind – corresponding to the Elemental Wild symbol. And as their name suggests, these symbols are wild, regardless of their color.
Once all possible clusters have been exhausted after matching symbols have been removed and new ones brought in through the cascade, the element features activate, manipulating the board. For example, the Fire Wild element feature places between four and 12 wild symbols on the grid. The Ice Strike (water) feature transforms random symbols into the same symbol. So on and so forth.
Any clusters formed without the benefit of an Elemental Wild produce an additional Elemental Wild in the outer ring. After every cluster match and resulting cascade, the Elemental Wilds travel one spot clockwise.
Get triggered as much as possible
The big goal is to trigger each of the four element features in a single spin. Doing so takes the player to the bonus round, which includes bonus spins and a persistent multiplier.
There really isn’t much more to Elemento Dragons. It is the rare modern, large playing field online slot with very few special symbols. Aside from the Element Wilds, which aren’t even in the main playing field, and the wilds triggered by the Fire Wild feature, the only other special symbol is the occasional multiplier.
The lack of special symbols means the goal of the game is simply to trigger the element features as much as possible to create a series of cascades and then, hopefully, hit that bonus round. Thus, Elemento Dragons combines a simplicity of sorts with the exciting Element Wilds mechanic that should make it an easy game to try for new players and entertaining enough for online slots veterans.
