Play’n GO Games Ambassador Magnus Wallentin stated the Roman Empire setting in Legion Gold Reckoning gives the game “an instant language – power, gold, spectacle.”
The resulting “sharp story” Wallentin said, giving a clue to the Rome on fire visuals, is based on “what a legion and its empire will risk for prestige, and what the consequences of that obsession are.”

According to an official release, in Reckoning: “every crest, claw, and wing on the reels feels like a mark of rank” in reference to eagle, lion, and bull animal symbols. The horse, Play’n GO stated, is “always ready to carry your fortunes home.”
Gold remains central to the storyline as it did in Ancient Rome, with players tempted in the base game to toggle the switch from idle mode to GO Ultra. With this option activated, players get added perks, including more frequent animal symbols, plus added boosts to the start of Reckoning’s mega spins and gold re-spins.
Players who’ve collected six gold coins will trigger the re-spins while their harvested booty stays locked in place. During the re-spins, players can land a gold coin bag that pays out the total value of all gold coins currently on a player’s reels.
Any gold coins won outside of the re-spins are collected in a chest, which if it fully opens, triggers a game in which players pick until they match three gold coins to win from the instant prize tiers of mini, minor, major, or grand.
Summer sequel coming
Players who enjoy Reckoning should mark July 26 on their calendars, when Play’n GO is set to release its summer blockbuster Legion Gold and the Throne of Dead.
