The parent company of the Las Vegas Sphere has experienced quite the turnaround over the past year. Sphere Entertainment posted its Q4 2025 financial results on Thursday, showing revenue rising 62% year-on-year at the Nevada venue.
It was also the first time that the Sphere venue has posted a profit since its 2023 opening. The Sphere Entertainment share price has jumped 148% in 12 months, including 21% after the earnings release.
sales surpassed 2 million by January, which created about $290m in revenue
One of its biggest hits was the remake of The Wizard of Oz, which started screening in August. Ticket sales surpassed 2 million by January, which created about $290m in revenue. Notable residencies in 2025 included the Backstreet Boys and Dead & Company.
The New York-based firm is now looking at replicating that success by developing similar venues elsewhere. It revealed plans in January to create a smaller version of the Las Vegas Sphere in National Harbor, Maryland, close to Washington, DC. It would have a capacity of about 6,000 compared to the nearly 20,000 seats in the Las Vegas Sphere. The company is estimating that this $1bn project could open before 2030.
CEO and Executive Chairman James Dolan said that the company is also advancing its plans to “bring Sphere to Abu Dhabi.” This would be a similar scale to the Las Vegas venue.
