A car journey from the Las Vegas Strip to Harry Reid International Airport will only cost about $12 and take six minutes when The Boring Company’s Loop tunnels are fully open. The firm expects this to happen sometime in Q1 2026:

Testing of this service is already underway from Resorts World Las Vegas. Utilizing both Loop tunnels and some surface roads, the journey to the airport take about 12 minutes in its current form. The halving to six minutes will supposedly happen when the Paradise tunnels open.

The current trip takes about 15 minutes if using a regular taxi, costing $29. Vital Vegas believes the price won’t remain at $12 and that demand might outweigh capacity. However, the Vegas news source believes it’s a net positive overall:

The battle for supremacy in the taxi industry is intensifying in Nevada. Several robotaxi firms, including Waymo and Zoox, offer services in Las Vegas. Then there are the 3,000+ old-school medallion taxis, as well as the typical ridesharing options like Uber and Lyft.
