Rumors that the OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is ending all live dealer table games appear to be true. Las Vegas Locally reported on Tuesday that the property’s management told employees about the upcoming change:

This change follows the casino cutting the operational hours of its table games to between 11am and 3am in September and reportedly laying off many of its dealers. The OYO Las Vegas has long been a popular destination for blackjack fans, thanks to its $1 minimum bet tables and its close proximity to the Strip. The Hooters at the resort was another big attraction before it closed in August.

believes that many consumers now prefer playing on devices

The OYO isn’t the first Nevada casino to announce that it will end all live games. Sin City’s oldest casino, the Golden Gate, now only offers electronic versions of table games, making the switch last month. The property’s owner, Derek Stevens, believes that many consumers now prefer playing on devices since the pandemic and that this will be a trend across the wider sector.
