The Golden Gate Casino in downtown Las Vegas has completed its transition from live table games to only electronic options. Some people are holding onto the chips that they got during their final real dealer playing session at the property:

The city’s oldest casino is now targeting Gen Z tech-savvy gamblers who prefer purely digital interaction. The property has launched a new marketing campaign to draw awareness to its new focus. Golden Gate owner Derek Stevens told local media that the transition announced in August has been a success so far, as the level of gameplay on electronic versions is “about double what our projections were.”

He believes momentum to switch to electronic table games started building during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stevens says there’s a fine balance between introducing new technology and ensuring all visitors enjoy the hospitality experience.
