Law enforcement in California has arrested a man after he was suspected of a deadly hit-and-run that left a 71-year-old woman dead. Officers apprehended William David Camarena at Soboba Casino in Riverside County on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, with the vehicle now part of the case’s evidence.

The incident happened at about 11:15pm Saturday when a car hit Debra Dean while she was crossing the street. The Honda reportedly ran a red light and struck the woman in the intersection, which was about ten minutes away from the casino. She was taken to hospital and sadly died from her injuries.
