Live dealer casino game supplier Evolution has been in the news for the wrong reasons lately. The latest bad press relates to a $12,000 fine that the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) has issued to the company for errors that occurred during games.

Among the violations – a blackjack dealer forgot to deal a card to himself and a roulette dealer didn’t spin the ball hard enough, meaning it did not complete the necessary minimum four rotations before coming to a stop.
In another instance, a blackjack table showed incorrect information for 26 hours on when the dealer needed to stand or hit. There was even an issue in September 2023, when 483 rounds were dealt with two card decks that were missing five cards.
New Jersey’s regulator said the company’s dealers and managerial staff failed to ensure the proper dealing of its table games. One of the issues dates as far back as 2021, with the NJDGE not revealing the name of the impacted online casinos.
The financial penalty is only a small blip for Evolution, which was at the center of a media storm last week when a revelation in a New Jersey defamation case led to the company’s share price plummeting 11%. Secret recordings allegedly showed Evolution executives openly talking about offering games in illegal markets.
