A bettor deemed his $5,000 wager on the NFL last season the “easiest win of the year,” although many might call it a stupid risk to take.

In a video from last year that was shared recently by br_betting, an unnamed bettor revealed his betting slip showing a wager of $5,000 on Buffalo Bills player Josh Allen to make one completion in a game with the Los Angeles Rams. The bet had odds of -20000:

The quarterback immediately made the completion in the video, prompting the American bettor to state he is “1-0 on the NFL season.” With those -20000 odds, the bet returned just $25 in profit from the staggering $5,000 stake.

Worth it? Many in the comments don’t think so.

One user called @betfinder_evan said the odds are “really telling the whole story.” He said risking so much to win so little “is the definition of playing to lose.” Meanwhile, others were a little more scathing in their responses. @leekgotti100 said simply “b*tch made $25,” while another called @JJtheBetPlane1 said you will lose this bet “1 out of 200 times… never do this bet lol.”

This isn’t the only bettor to have wagered large amounts for relatively low profit. In June, a high roller placed an $8m wager on the OKC Thunder in the NBA Finals to win just $1.1m. The Thunder narrowly won the series after it went all the way to Game 7.
