A bettor had a stroke of genius this week, completing an incredible cash out on his +138500 15-leg parlay just before Randy Arozarena almost ruined it.
a 15-leg parlay involving players from nine different MLB games
The gambler placed the wager with FanDuel Sportsbook. It was a 15-leg parlay involving players from nine different MLB games. Among the selections were Addison Barger of the Toronto Blue Jays, Dominic Smith of the San Francisco Giants, Ian Happ of the Chicago Cubs, and final selection Arozarena of the Seattle Mariners all to record hits.
Check out the full selections in the betting slip shared by br_betting below. It would have returned around $50,000 had it won:
The bettor cashed out after 14 of the 15 selections had come in, turning his wager of $36 into a staggering $16,473.13. Not only that, Arozarena didn’t record a hit in Seattle’s game against the Houston Astros at -160 odds. This means the bettor would have lost the wager if he let it run.
Many users on X have commended the bettor. @MrGambaholic said simply: “W cash out.” Another called @tuckerstown deemed it a “great call,” while @sportsbetnchill said: “That’s some good sh*t right there!”
Other bettors have let bets like this run and not proved so lucky. For instance, in June a bettor refused to cash out on his $13 parlay which would return more than $270,000. The five-leg title win parlay had already secured wins for the LA Dodgers, NY Liberty, and Philadelphia Eagles. It just needed the Edmonton Oilers and Oklahoma City Thunder to win their respective leagues.
The Thunder won the NBA, but the Oilers failed to seal the deal in the Stanley Cup, although the bettor supposedly hedged his bet.
