Rumors began circulating over the weekend that the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas was adding the popular card game UNO as a table game in its casino. People on social media started getting excited about the prospect, with major players in the industry posting about the news:

Doubts began to emerge late on Sunday night, as one eagle-eyed X user pointed out that the UNO game will be available only as a social game option in the property’s Kingpin Suite, where patrons can also play bowling:

The UNO Social Club allows people to enjoy a variety of themed variants of the card game, including UNO Golf, UNO Teams, and UNO Show’em No Mercy. This is the first experience of its kind in the world, and game creator Mattel plans to offer the same setup in other major US cities.

While real money betting won’t be an option at the Palms Casino Resort’s UNO suite, the amount of attention the topic received shows just how much interest there might be if a casino does decide to roll out such a table game.
