Footage is circulating on social media of someone allegedly using real-time assistance (RTA) software while playing in an online WSOP event sitting outside of the Venetian poker room.
The user who posted the video was on a break from his own event and had to run back to his seat, which is why he supposedly decided not to confront the individual:
RTA’s, which utilize computing power to offer mathematical solutions to poker play, are banned in online tournaments. WSOP is supposed to detect when someone is running the software at the same time as playing. Some X users suggested that the individual wasn’t actively in a hand and may have been looking at an equilibrium checking chart or a specific equity spot.

Several high-profile scandals have occurred over the past 12 months with notable poker players caught using RTAs. ACR Poker parted ways with ambassador Nacho Barbero in April for his comments about using GTO Wizard, with a similar incident happening with Ebony Kenney. While ACR cleared both of wrongdoing, they are both no longer working with the company.
