Wrestlemania’s Las Vegas success has reportedly led its Connecticut-based World Wrestling Entertainment parent to ditch its New Orleans gig.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the WWE now prefers Las Vegas for its 2026 WrestleMania event.

WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium last month was a major hit for WWE. The two-day event reportedly drew a crowd of 124,693 and the “largest ticket revenue generation in its history.”
A 114% increase in television viewers also made it the most-watched WrestleMania ever.
According to an inside source cited by the Review-Journal, WWE told New Orleans on Thursday that it won’t host WrestleMania at Caesars Superdome in 2026 as originally planned.
Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas marked both John Cena’s WWE farewell and the first time Netflix streamed the event. Sin City went WWE mad, with the franchise selling out Allegiant Stadium and other smaller related events across Vegas.
