Caesars Entertainment has used the upcoming 2025 World Series of Poker’s kickoff in Las Vegas to market the re-opening of two of its poker rooms on the Strip.
Caesars spokespeople on Wednesday announced the rooms at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood will open in May, with the WSOP festival starting a few days shy of June. While the WSOP Poker Room in the former will only be a temporary affair until the Reno, Nevada-based operator decides where to build its permanent installation, the Planet Hollywood room is Caesar’s big news.
Planet Hollywood Senior Vice President and General Manager Ken Ostempowski stated that with the WSOP imminent, there “was no better time” to debut the new venue.

“Featuring 23 tables and perched on the mezzanine with breathtaking views of the casino floor, it’s the perfect setting where the ultimate drama unfolds one hand at a time,” Ostempowski stated.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Planet Hollywood’s new room will occupy the space vacated by The London Club but will be bigger than its predecessor.
While the 2025 WSOP kicks off at the Caesars-operated duo Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, the latter will host the entire event, which ends July 16. Despite selling its WSOP naming rights, Caesars made a deal to host live poker events at its Vegas casinos for the next 20 years.
