Four states for Betfred sportsbooks

Wind Creek Hospitality has inked a deal with Betfred USA Sports that gives Pennsylvania bettors an online and mobile sportsbook in time for the Christmas season. Betfred, a UK-based, privately owned global retail sportsbook giant, announced the agreement with Wind Creek on December 24.

Wind Creek Bethlehem broke the news yesterday evening that its new Betfred-powered sportsbook was available online for Pennsylvania bettors.

Betfred USA Sports opened branded sportsbooks in Colorado and Iowa in 2020, with another set to open at Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on January 15, 2021. The Pennsylvania venue gives Betfred a sports wagering presence in four states.

Wind Creek Hospitality, the gaming arm of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, manages Wind Creek Bethlehem, along with Wind Creek Atmore, Wind Creek Montgomery, Wind Creek Wetumpka, Wa She Shu Casino in Nevada, Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino, WindCreekCasino.com, plus racetracks in Alabama and Florida.

Windcreek’s Pennsylvania sports betting expansion

The launch of the online and mobile sportsbook follows the November 18 launch of a Betfred brick-and-mortar sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem, the first retail sportsbook for the tribal hotel and casino company.

Betfred’s “experience and leadership in sports wagering gives [Windcreek Bethlehem] confidence”

Wind Creek Hospitality President & CEO, James Dorris, said in a news release that his company was looking forward to the Betfred addition. Dorris said Betfred’s “experience and leadership in sports wagering gives [Windcreek Bethlehem] confidence” as it expands its Pennsylvania gaming portfolio.

Subject to regulatory approval, Betfred will provide Wind Creek Bethlehem bettors access to its “full sportsbook service at the casino, as well as mobile and internet betting” in Pennsylvania. Betfred will also provide its tribal partner with support, including marketing, trading, and compliance.

Festive cheer for Betfred

The announcement of the Wind Creek Bethlehem online and mobile sports wagering deal adds extra emphasis to Betfred USA Sports COO Bryan Bennett’s target of getting sportsbooks into four US states by the end of 2020.

Betfred Group chief operating officer Mark Stebbings said the experienced UK sportsbook was “delighted to partner with Wind Creek Bethlehem.”

Stebbings said Betfred would “provide excellent service and value for the sports bettors both on premise at Wind Creek Bethlehem and online to the wider population of Pennsylvania.”
