Bet365 CEO and founder Denise Coates has racked up another year as one the UK’s highest-paid executives after she received “a pay package of at least £280m ($378m) in 2025.”
total earnings rose by over two thirds
According to the BBC, Coates’ total earnings rose by more than two thirds from almost £158m ($213m) in 2024.
Filings of her remuneration package from Companies House reveals the CEO was paid £104m ($140m) in salary in the year to March 2025. As a majority stakeholder in the iGaming giant, Coates was also entitled to at least 50% of the £354m ($478m) dividend payment declared by Bet365 for the financial year.
Her salary and dividend package of £280m means the Bet365 boss earned over £2bn ($2.7bn) from her firm over the past decade.
Coates’ massive payouts come despite profits at Bet365 in a downturn, its pre-tax profit down £339m ($458m) on the previous year’s £596m ($805m).
Campaign group the High Pay Centre stated that despite Coates being “well-liked” for “being self-made and giving back to her community” her earnings “go far beyond what anyone needs for a life of luxury.”
Coates, however, is reportedly among the UK’s top taxpayers. Bet365 also contributed £130m ($175m) to a variety of good causes through her charity, the Denise Coates Foundation, over the past year.
