Optimove’s US Gaming Pulse Report for November 2025 has revealed that the number of American online casino bettors has dropped 14% over the trailing 12 months compared to the same time last year.
The report, released Monday, showed shrinking in both active US online players and average betting sums. The iGaming CRM firm noted the online casino downturn appeared to worsen going into Q4.
An example from Optimove was the average bet size shrinking to $6,121 in November 2025, compared to the 12-month trailing average bet size of $7,638.

It’s a similar story for US sports betting, with the average bet size contracting to $846 in November 2025, down from $960 over the previous year. Sports bettors are at 88% of the 100% baseline for the same month in 2024, just two points less than online casino’s dip.
The good news for international brands is that global online casino activity continues to show steady growth.
According to Optimove, global online casino bettors increased over the 12-month timeframe. The iGaming firm reported an 8% annual increase from 2024’s base, with the global average bet size holding steady at $1,343 in 2025 compared to $1,359 the year before.
