A gambler in Las Vegas is thanking their lucky stars after a major payday this week.
Reports surfaced on social media Wednesday that a gambler had hit a major jackpot on a Megabucks slot at Resorts World Las Vegas. Las Vegas Locally shared an image of the $11,143,660.87 jackpot, which hit early in the morning:
The bet amount was just $5, and the odds of hitting that jackpot were about 1/50,000,000. It was the fist-ever Megabucks jackpot to hit at Resorts World Las Vegas, which is situated on the Las Vegas Strip. The unidentified winner was supposedly in town visiting family.
Many social media commenters praised the unknown gambler for their win. Others replied with jealousy, such as @ThatAngelKid who asked simply: âWhy is it never me?â Another user called @lee946 said he would like to know if the player tipped, a controversial issue among Vegasâs gamblers.
This month has seen a number of jackpots won on the Las Vegas Strip. A slot player won $1.1m in a jackpot at the Venetian last week. It was the third Venetian jackpot to exceed seven figures in two weeks, with another guest winning $3.8m playing Ultimate Texas Holdâem, and a third gambler hitting a $1.5m jackpot on Face Up Pai Gow.
