Popular streamer xQc was asked by his viewers for his opinion on his fellow content creator Mizkif signing a partnership with Stake despite calling for Twitch to ban gambling-related content on the platform in 2022. He responded by saying he was “gifting” his take on the matter to Trainwreck and that he’ll agree with Train’s opinion:

Trainwreck has been vocal in the past about big streamers like Mizkif, Pokimane, and HasanAbi for being hypocritical about their stance on gambling, suggesting that some of them changed their positions when it was popular to do so and that they were more concerned with their viewership numbers than addiction.

The streamers were part of an effort that threatened to boycott Twitch during the 2022 holiday season if the Amazon-owned platform didn’t deal with the prevalence of gambling content. Twitch duly banned streaming of unregulated gambling content in October 2022.

Mizkif had previously claimed he turned down an offer from Stake to stream gambling content in return for $35,000 per hour as he didn’t feel comfortable promoting the platform:
