An unusual occurrence has become commonplace at WNBA games recently. Fans are disrupting games by throwing strange objects onto the court, objects that certainly don’t belong anywhere near a professional basketball game.

There are now five known incidents of people throwing dildos onto WNBA courts. The most recent incident, which occurred on Wednesday, saw a man arrested after throwing a green sex toy during the Phoenix Mecury’s game against Connecticut Sun.
During the Indiana Fever versus Los Angeles Sparks game also on Wednesday, a green dildo nearly hit Fever guard Sophie Cunningham. Notably, Cunningham had tweeted a few days earlier urging fans to stop throwing the sex toys, “you’re going to hurt one of us,” she said.
Barstool Sports shared a video of the Cunningham incident:
Now, sportsbooks are even offering odds on what color the next dildo will be. BetOnline has +200 odds for black/brown, +200 for rainbow, +250 for white, and +300 for pink. Blue is an outside shot at +1400. The sportsbook is also offering odds on how the next dildo will be handled once thrown onto the court, including kicking with the feet (-120) or lifted with the hands (-120).
Polymarket is permitting wagering on whether another dildo will be thrown in a WNBA game by Friday. In total, $166,308 has been bet on the market so far.
Many social media users are questioning how sportsbooks can offer the market when a bettor could simply attend a WNBA game and throw a specific color of dildo themselves.
