Alexander Zverev is currently the world’s third-highest-ranked male tennis player and is hoping to go one step further in this year’s French Open at Roland Garros after finishing runner-up in 2024 to Carlos Alcaraz.

The Germany native defeated the unseeded Learner Tien in the first round on Tuesday and he took some time to talk with the TNT broadcast team after the match.

current market value upwards of $300,000 and only 101 pieces ever made

One analyst asked the 28-year-old about his timepiece, saying it’s one of the coolest watches he’d ever seen in-person. It’s a Jacob & Co ‘Casino Tourbillon’ edition that has a roulette wheel and ball in it, with its current market value upwards of $300,000 and only 101 pieces ever made. Zverev became an ambassador for the New York-based watch company in January.

Zverev asked each of the four-person panel to pick one of the 37 numbers on the roulette wheel, promising that he’d give them the watch if their number came up. He released a sigh of relief when the ball finished on 4, as nobody had guessed correctly:

Jacob & Co’s inspiration for the ‘Casino Tourbillon’ is “the elegant gamblers and socialites that populated 1960s Monte Carlo, Macao, or Las Vegas.”
