The Point Place Casino in Madison County, which opened its doors in 2018, will undergo the expansion in the coming months. It will include a doubling in size of the gaming floor and the addition of a 100-room hotel.

The Oneida will also open a new restaurant and make improvements to the Fireside Lounge. The project will lead to 250 new jobs between the beginning of the construction work and when the improved property is fully open for business.

Turning Stone Enterprises is the tribe’s entity that looks after its portfolio of operations, including the Turning Stone Resort Casino and the Yellow Brick Road Casino, both of which are in New York.

Oneida Indian Nation Representative and the CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises Ray Halbritter said that the $50m expansion of the Point Place property is more than necessary and he believes that it will help sustain “economic success for generations to come” in the region.
