In the press release announcing the new commercial, FanDuel Group CMO Mike Raffensperger spoke about how golf “continues to be one of the fastest-growing sports on our platform and, as we greatly value our partnership with the PGA TOUR, we are excited to grow our PGA TOUR program.” He also welcomed Harold Varner III, Will Zalatoris, and Abraham Ancer on board as golf ambassadors. continue with its aggressive customer acquisition efforts

Despite analysts expressing concerns about the big sums that US sports betting operators are spending on marketing, FanDuel does not plan to slow down in that regard. It plans to continue with its aggressive customer acquisition efforts as it looks to cement its position as one of the biggest operators in the country. The CEO of FanDuel’s parent company, Flutter Entertainment, recently said that the plan was to continue to “push really hard” for FanDuel user acquisition despite many rivals slashing spending.

Embracing golf

FanDuel has placed a big emphasis on golf-related partnerships in recent years. It first became an official betting partner of the PGA Tour in 2020; the two organizations signed a three-year partnership extension in December. They work together on a range of different marketing and content efforts.

FanDuel is one of the biggest US sportsbook operators, having online sportsbooks up and running in 15 states.

Jordan Spieth came on board in August 2021, with FanDuel being his exclusive daily fantasy and sports betting partner. It was at the start of 2021 that FanDuel revealed that it was going to be showcasing real-time PGA Tour event highlights to its users.
