New options for gamblers
The recent launch of a MoonPay-powered platform in the US is welcome news for online slot gamblers looking to stake bets in cryptocurrency.
On Tuesday, global payments platform Paysafe rolled out its new Pay with Crypto payment method that enables iGaming firms and daily fantasy sports (DFS) brands in the US to accept crypto or stablecoin payments.
The platform powering the Paysafe product, Moonpay, took to X on Tuesday to share the rollout, stating “This is not a drill”:
Paysafe’s President of Global Gaming Zak Cutler said on the launch of Pay with Crypto that the use of crypto was evolving from investments to payments, and that its growing US popularity has seen a “shift gather pace in the country’s iGaming market.”
Future-proofing
According to a Moonpay news release, Pay with Crypto allows players with major iGaming brands, such as IGT or High 5 Games, to fund their accounts with crypto and also to convert the crypto deposit to USD to allow play.
Essentially, when players win a jackpot, the site would then be able to pay out the player “almost instantly” in stablecoins, USD, “or other major fiat currencies.”

In the release, Cutler said the London-headquartered firm’s Pay with Crypto product was “a forward-thinking solution” for US iGaming firms. The Paysafe exec added that the product placed operators in a strong position to meet “their customers’ changing transactional preferences – the future of how they pay when they play.”
MoonPay Founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright meanwhile talked up the speed and efficiency of Pay with Crypto in the release, stating: “People shouldn’t have to convert their digital assets just to make a purchase — they want to use what they already have.”
Soto-Wright added: “Paysafe brings that experience to more people through trusted, regulated platforms.”
Paysafe booming in the US
Pay with Crypto slots into the London firm’s Paysafe Gateway platform designed intentionally for iGaming.
The parent platform also allows card payments, “the Skrill digital wallet, the PaysafeCash eCash solution, a Pay by Bank product and more than 30 local payment methods” according to PYMNTS.
Paysafe stated in a March earnings call that in 2025, its North American business reported 50% growth in processing revenue.
