March not done
March ended a week ago but reports of $100k+ jackpots are still emerging across the US, especially from California’s tribe-owned casinos where players landed life-changing slot wins throughout the month.
two more big jackpots had landed in California
On Monday, FOX40 News reported that two more big jackpots had landed in California during March, and both of them at a tribe-owned casino in Sacramento County.
The double lucky strikes came at Sky River Casino on March 29, with two players hitting jackpots in excess of $580k combined.
The pick of the pair came courtesy of a Sacramento player, who won $366,545 on a Light & Wonder-made Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova: Desert Nights Big Money Edition slot.
The L&W slot, which inspires the firm’s Ultimate Fire Link online real money slot series, lit up the eyes of the Sacramento player after a $4.50 bet triggered a random bonus feature to flash out a six-figure total on the display.
Jackpot deja vu
Two days prior at the same casino owned and operated by the Wilton Rancheria tribe, a Stockton guest made all the right moves on an AGS-manufactured Red Dragon Triple Diamond Midi Baccarat progressive table game. A 15 minute period of play saw the guest trigger the Bonus Spin Xtreme (BSX) progressive and win $216,895.
Sky River Casino President and General Manager Michael J. Facenda expressed his casino’s delight over hosting twin jackpots totaling over $580,000 stating:
These are exactly the kind of moments that remind us why people love coming to Sky River.”
According to the Wilton Rancheria casino, it has paid out more than $2.7m in table game jackpots in 2026 alone.
Praise all round
AGS’ Senior Vice President and General Manager of Tables John Hemberger praised Sky River while also highlighting his firm’s role in the casino’s jackpots, stating:
“Wins of this magnitude are the result of strong game design paired with a property that knows how to showcase it.”
The Sky River double follows another late report, this time from Massachusetts where three people hit five-figure jackpots on March 2. According to reports, MGM Springfield only publicized the event recently in which one player turned a $1.50 bet on an Aristocrat Dragon Link slot into $10,622, another made $20,275 via $75 bet on Triple Play Draw Poker, and the third hit a $19,275.88 jackpot on Ultimate Fast Cash via a $5 bet.
