Dozens of $100k+ jackpots and multiple seven-figure hauls rained down on US casinos this March, the lucky largesses hitting from Connecticut to Washington but seemingly avoiding one casino in Atlantic City.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City was the scene of two $1m+ jackpots over one February weekend, but March came and went without any reported major wins on the casino’s 2,300+ slots or from its high-limit slots room.
three players recently won a total of $953,811
April might be a different story after local media revealed on Thursday that three players recently won a total of $953,811 on progressive slots at the Hard Rock casino.
Hard Rock said the trio opted to remain anonymous but shared some details, including the biggest win by a Willingboro, Burlington County player. The man turned a $3 bet into “a $585,911.80 Wide Area Progressive (WAP) jackpot win” playing a Light & Wonder-manufactured Journey to the Planet Moolah slot.
Next biggest was a $193,597.40 progressive jackpot won by a man betting $5 on an International Game Technology-made Triple Diamond slot machine.
Not far behind was the Hard Rock guest who won a $174,301.64 progressive jackpot via a $5 bet on a Lightning Gaming-branded Screaming Links Scarabs of Egypt slot.
The news out of the Atlantic City casino bodes well for a bumper Easter of monster jackpots, after April started with a bang in Nevada for a man who hit the Megabucks jackpot to win an incredible but verified $10.4m on real money slots on April Fool’s Day.
