The pots of gold raining down on US casinos this March have potentially reached the rainbow’s end in California where one player won over $1m.
The month-ending jackpot came on Sunday at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California, when a Burbank man spun a $50 wager into a progressive jackpot of $1,339,477.
The casino took to X to share that its newly minted millionaire’s life-changing jackpot came on one of its Aristocrat Gaming-manufactured Dragon Link Peace & Long Life slot machines:
According to trade media, Pechanga’s Dragon Link slots have cranked out three jackpots over $1m within the last 12 months. The first came in May 2025 when a Temecula player hit a $1m jackpot, only for another guest to play the exact same Dragon Link slot on March 13 and hit a $1,232,300 progressive jackpot.
Outside of California this month, two different Aristocrat slots paid out over $200k on one night to one player in Connecticut, while in Washington State another player hit a $154k jackpot on a Triple Fortune Dragon slot, followed by a duo’s $113k win on Sunday on a Wheel of Fortune slot, back in Connecticut.
The latter two wins on International Game Technology-made slots comes as IGT celebrates the 30th anniversary of its Wheel of Fortune brand in May. With this news and major jackpots landing all across the US in March, a bumper springtime of big slots wins seems in the cards.
