Two crypto casino influencers stooped to disgustingly low levels, trolling a meal drive for the unhoused just so they could get social media views. The incident was recorded by professional photographer Steven Williams, whose non-profit, the Steven Williams Foundation, organized the event.

The community program, held late last week, was an effort to feed the unhoused in the Skid Row neighborhood of Los Angeles. Hundreds of people, the majority of whom appeared to be Black, were lined up to receive prepared meals when two young, white men arrived, attempting to hand out bottles of liquor.

The infiltrators, one of whom was wearing Meta glasses to record his actions and reactions, were confronted by several people and told to leave. The one wearing the glasses said that he was promoting crypto casino Rainbet; his exact words were unclear, though the assumption was that he posts videos with Rainbet’s logo to earn money from the casino.

“We serve over 1,200 meals a month because people need hope—not alcohol,” wrote Steven Williams in a social media post. “Two young men showed up to Skid Row—not to help…but to hand out bottles of liquor. While we were serving hot meals to people fighting to survive, they brought alcohol into a community already battling addiction, homelessness, and hardship. This is not compassion. This is not charity. This is harm.”

Unfortunately, such stunts are nothing new in the world of crypto casino marketing. Last fall, popular influencer Keith Castillo, known as “povwolfy” online, offered bottles of alcohol and machetes to unhoused people in Austin, New Orleans, and Little Rock, with plans to expand to additional cities. He claimed he was trying to help people be safe on the streets, but it was clearly a stunt to get eyeballs on his videos, which included the logo for crypto casino Stake.
