Giant preps for launch

A Las Vegas gaming giant is planning to go live with three of its online gambling brands when Alberta launches its regulated iGaming market mid-2026.

applied for an Alberta operator’s license and started pre-registration

Caesars Entertainment revealed on Monday that it had applied for an Alberta operator’s license and that it had started pre-registration in the Canadian province for Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino.

Caesars took to X to promote its “Alberta’s Hattrick” and invite players in the province over 21 years of age to pre-register themselves to play the three apps later this year:

Once live, the Alberta market will give Caesars an online casino and sports betting footprint in six North American jurisdictions.

Three-pronged iGaming strategy

Caesars’ iGaming strategy for Alberta is three-pronged, as in Ontario and its other live US states Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

The Vegas firm promotes slots, table games and live dealer content on the Horseshoe and Palace apps, while the Sportsbook & Casino app offers both online sports and casino wagering.

Despite availability in five markets with Alberta to come, this iGaming “trifecta” of apps, as Caesars’ Digital President Eric Hession called them, helped the exec’s online gaming arm post a record annual revenue of $1.41bn in 2025, a 21% increase on 2024.

player‑forward gameplay rooted in Caesars’ classic casino heritage”

In Monday’s press release, Caesars stated its apps will each bring “a distinct digital experience” to Alberta’s iGaming market, with the Palace and Horseshoe apps to offer popular slots and games “designed to deliver approachable, player‑forward gameplay rooted in Caesars’ classic casino heritage.”

Pre-registration play

The release advises Albertans to pre‑register to access launch notifications and platform availability, and that they can download the trifecta of apps immediately. Alberta, Caesars stated, will become selectable “once the province’s regulated online market officially opens.”

continued progress toward a regulated online market.”

In the release, Hession thanked the Alberta iGaming Corporation for supporting operators and added Caesars welcomed Alberta’s “continued progress toward a regulated online market.”
