Wheel of Fortune is one of the most iconic game shows in the US. First aired in 1975, it has had legendary hosts like Chuck Woolery, Pat Sajak, and now Ryan Seacrest. Wheel of Fortune is also one of the most recognizable slot brands, created by IGT in 1996 and celebrating its 30th anniversary in May.

The slot version came about after the then-IGT Chairman Charles Mathewson bumped into an executive for Sony Pictures Television randomly at an award show, which spawned the idea of a collaboration.

will even appear during broadcasts of the popular game show through the end of this year

IGT has many surprises in store for fans of the game, as well as an extensive ad campaign. The marketing material will be found across social media, other digital outlets, television, and major billboard placements, including on the Las Vegas Strip. It will even appear during broadcasts of the popular game show through the end of this year.

The Wheel of Fortune slot game is a key feature in many casinos, especially in Nevada. Last October, one lucky player won a $1m progressive jackpot while spinning the popular slot with a stake of just $3 at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino.

There have also been recent seven-figure wins on the game show. Last September, a Connecticut woman won more than $1m, making her just the fourth person in the game’s history to do so.
