BetMGM has inked an exclusive partnership with Jogo Global and Banijay Rights to make the New Jersey-based iGaming firm the first US online casino brand to add the “Survivor” franchise to its portfolio of games and marketing initiatives.
The launch of “Survivor” casino games last week on BetMGM Casino coincides with the iconic TV show’s 50th season telecast on February 25.
The iGaming brand co-owned by MGM Resorts International and Entain took to X to announce the launch, stating that gaining the “Survivor” franchise exclusively was “a statement” move:
The initial “Survivor” games BetMGM launched last week were built by Jogo Global, a supplier and “trusted global partner” of one of the entities in the three-way deal, contracted to create a minimum ten titles.
The “Survivor” franchise is owned by Paris-based global entertainment Banijay Entertainment, with its international distribution arm part of the tripartite deal.
Banijay SVP Gaming and Gambling Mark Woollard said his firm had previously awarded Jogo multiple licenses and that it was “fantastic” the games developer had partnered with BetMGM for the US launch of its “Survivor” IP content.
BetMGM’s Vice President of Gaming Oliver Bartlett said “Survivor” is one of history’s bestselling reality TV franchises and securing the exclusive IP rights “underscores BetMGM’s commitment to building a legendary powerhouse of entertainment.”
Jogo CEO David Marcus stated that his brand was proud to “bring the strategy, intensity, and competitive spirit” of the series to “real-money gameplay in a way that feels authentic to the brand and compelling for US players.”
The Jogo-powered games rolled out on BetMGM include Survivor Triple Challenge and Survivor Outwit Outplay Outlast, with more games slated for release throughout March.
