Giant Mobile Game Coming to The Sphere With Exclusive Vegas Prizes 

  • Code Match mobile game will award 16 prizes including The Wizard of Oz tickets

America’s gambling capital continues to set the bar for high-tech innovation after the marketing arm of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced The Sphere will double as a giant, first-of-its-kind mobile game.

The LVCVA’s Visit Las Vegas took to X on Monday to promote the Friday 7pm launch of the Sphere-hosted digital sweepstakes game Code Match:

Code Match will award 16 winners with “unique” prizes including tickets to The Wizard of Oz and No Doubt Live, plus luxury stays, VIP nightlife passes, “marquee entertainment and sporting events.”

US residents 21 and over can register via email to play Code Match until the entry cut-off on Friday at 8:59pm, and choose to play any or all 16 rounds that offer curated prize packages worth up to $5,000. While the game will be played on the Code Match website, it will be viewable in real time at The Sphere, where custom animations on the Exosphere will reveal three-digit numbers every eight minutes. 

To win one of the 16 packages, which include return flights to Vegas, the randomly assigned code received by entrants via email must match the Exosphere’s numbers for that round.

Sphere Executive Vice President Ad Sales and Sponsorships, Marcus Ellington, stated that by turning The Sphere “into a mobile game experience, we continue to push the boundaries of how our advanced technologies can enable fans to connect with brands on the Exosphere.”

Visit Las Vegas Chief Marketing Officer Kate Wik said that only Sin City could “look at the world’s most iconic canvas and say, ‘Let’s raise the stakes.’” Wik added that Code Match will be “a playful, engaging experience […] powered by that unmistakable ‘Only in Vegas’ spark that defines the destination.”
