Two people got out of a Nissan vehicle in the parking lot armed with handguns and approached two of the victims, demanding their property. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and other valuables.
They returned not long after and repeated the same tactic on another individual. During the second incident, one of the suspects struck the person with their handgun, which led to the 24-year-old man being hospitalized. One of the suspects took the man’s car keys and fled in his vehicle.
Law enforcement later identified the car and its driver. Officers attempted a pursuit, but the suspect evaded them. Delaware State Police are now searching for witnesses or any relevant information regarding the matter.
Crimes of this kind are relatively common at casinos. Perpetrators often watch people who cash out their chips before following them to their vehicles, or even their homes, and robbing them.
